When you use Wafflin' Abroad, we collect:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed)
• Pet information: Pet name, type, breed, weight, age, microchip status, and vaccination status
• Trip information: Airline, origin/destination airports, travel dates, and destination country
• Uploaded documents: Vaccine certificates uploaded to our AI reader (processed and not permanently stored)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate personalized pet travel checklists
• Save and manage your trip plans
• Send trip-related email summaries (when requested)
• Improve the accuracy and quality of our service

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to the Service

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and hosted on trusted cloud infrastructure (Supabase/PostgreSQL). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase: Database hosting
• Vercel: Application hosting
• Google Maps API: Veterinarian search (address geocoding only)

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page. Upon account deletion, all personal information, trip data, and pet profiles are permanently removed from our systems.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication (session management). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the Service.
